I know a few humans who'd be happy going out like this.

Partially bury the snail trap in your veggie bed, take the lid off and pour in some beer. The snails have good taste and are attracted to beer... they crawl in, start drinking and die very happy. 

Of course if you don't want to give up the beer, you can use yeast and water instead but that isn't as pleasant for the snails. I say go the beer and finish the rest of the bottle yourself! 

p.s. There is a copy product sold at the big green shed that is very flimsy compared to this one. Beware of the cheap imitations. As the saying goes, 'Buy once, cry once'

Earwigs: If you are having problems with earwigs, use one of these traps and add 1cm of vegetable oil with a squirt of soya sauce. They love it.
